Your organization's knowledge
For engineers, engineering managers 4 min read
Runbooks, guides, decision records and knowledge footprints from departures, in one searchable place that Ask ELOS answers from.
Knowledge is your organization's memory: documents from your connected sources, docs written in ELOS, and the knowledge footprints captured when people leave. The source stays the system of record; ELOS indexes it so it can be found and cited.

Find something
- Ask a question in Ask ELOS about your knowledge. The answer cites the documents it used.
- Search runbooks, guides, postmortems and decision records by what they're about, not only by exact words.
- Filter by Type, such as Guide or Memory, and by Source.
Where knowledge comes from
- Docs written in ELOS appear as soon as they're published. See Write and publish docs.
- Knowledge footprints are captured automatically on departures. See Offboard and hand over.
- Your connected sources, such as repository docs and wikis, are indexed when you connect them.
Everything is filtered to what you're allowed to see. A custom role with read scope sees only its part of the organization, here and in Ask ELOS.
What's next
- Write and publish docs: Write Markdown in ELOS with a live preview and lint, then publish it so it's searchable and Ask ELOS can cite it.
