Every way data gets into ELOS without typing it: connectors, catalog as code, scheduled sync, identity provisioning and the API.
ELOS is automation-driven. Your tools stay the system of record: ELOS reads from them, keeps its view current, and lets you script anything the portal does. Forms are for decisions, not data entry.

The API and service accounts
Everything the portal does is available through the ELOS API, authenticated with a service account key. Scripts get exactly the permissions of the service account's role and every change they make is in the audit log under the account's name. Start with Use the ELOS API.
What's next
- Catalog as code with catalog-info.yaml: Describe each service in a file in its repository. ELOS reads it on every sync, so the catalog changes through reviewed pull requests.
